Protect Your Liver.

IT PROTECTS YOU.

Liver problems can sometimes develop without obvious symptoms, so learning about liver health can be helpful. To raise awareness, NishkamSWAT is offering free liver health awareness sessions with FibroScan screening through the LiverSWAT project.

These quick, non-invasive scans provide general information about liver stiffness and are intended for awareness and educational purposes. They can help individuals understand whether they may wish to seek further medical advice about their liver health.

FibroScan screening does not diagnose liver disease and does not replace professional medical care. If your scan result suggests increased liver stiffness, or if you have concerns about your liver or your health, you should speak with your GP or a qualified healthcare professional for further assessment and advice.

Why Liver Health Matters?

Liver disease is one of the UK’s fastest-growing health concerns, and many cases can be prevented through early awareness and informed lifestyle choices.

Because symptoms often appear only in later stages, understanding your liver health early can be helpful.

NishkamSWAT’s LiverSWAT project is committed to raising awareness of liver health by offering free community-based liver health awareness sessions using FibroScan technology, training medical volunteers, delivering outreach across diverse communities, and providing clear, accessible information that helps people learn more about their liver health.

These sessions provide general information about liver stiffness for awareness purposes and are intended to help individuals better understand their liver health. They do not diagnose liver disease or replace medical care, and participants are encouraged to consult their GP or a qualified healthcare professional if they have concerns.

Together, we can raise awareness, encourage early action, and help more people make informed choices that support long-term health.

What Are We Doing?

NishkamSWAT brings liver health awareness sessions using FibroScan technology directly into local communities, from places of worship to community centres. We provide free awareness sessions, educational talks, and information designed to help people learn more about liver health and the importance of early awareness.

By meeting people where they are and offering trusted, community-based support, we aim to make liver health information more accessible and encourage individuals to seek appropriate medical advice from their GP or healthcare professional if they have concerns..

Volunteer and Host LiverSWAT Events

Whether you support liver health awareness events, help organise community sessions, or assist at local health days, your time and presence can help people build awareness of liver health and understand when to seek further care. Together, we can reach more communities and make a meaningful difference.

Donate and Support

A FibroScan test is not always easily accessible and can be costly in some settings. With your support, we can continue offering free community liver health awareness sessions and reach more local communities.

Your donation helps fund equipment, volunteer training, community outreach, and educational resources that make these sessions possible. By bringing liver health awareness directly into communities, we aim to help more people learn about their liver health and encourage individuals to seek appropriate medical advice from their GP or a qualified healthcare professional if they have concerns.

Every contribution helps us support healthier, stronger communities.

A Personal Mission

This mission began with a personal tragedy. Taran Singh Rai, a volunteer at NishkamSWAT, lost his father, Amrik Singh Rai, to advanced liver cancer. His family’s experience highlighted how silent liver disease can be and how easily its early signs can go unnoticed.

In his memory, and for all those affected by liver disease and liver cancer, LiverSWAT is transforming that loss into meaningful action by bringing liver health awareness sessions, education, and support into communities. Our aim is to raise awareness, encourage people to learn more about their liver health, and help individuals seek medical advice from their GP or healthcare professional if they have concerns.

Join Us at Our Next LiverSWAT Event

LiverSWAT is taking liver health awareness back on the road. Our next event will bring together doctors, nurses, volunteers, and local communities for a day of liver health checks, education, and service. Watch this space for confirmed dates and locations.
